Bass on the Sony WH-1000xm6‘s not good… need advice.
So I’ve benn wanting to get some new Over-ear-headphones for a while now. When Sony released the XM6‘s, I immediately went to try them out. But I was kinda… disappointed. While the noise cancellation and transparency mode were perfect, and the mods and highs pretty good, I was very disappointed of the bass. They didnt have any proper bass or kick, even when I downloaded the app and turned bass on fulll on the app and on Spotify. Is the bass really so flat? I also noticed that they only let me into noise cancelling mode or into transparency, which I both use pretty rarely. Recently, I was trying other headphones, and came across the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2, and was completely blown away in every aspect, even without changing any settings. I really liked them, but I really don’t want to pay the 729€ price tag. I would definitely go for the Sonys if the bass can be raised.
For context, I’ve had a couple of headphones:
-jbl quantum 710
- soundcore p3
- skullcandy crusher evo (which I am wearing while writing this)
- only the right pod of the 1.Gen AirPods Pro
I know that no headphones can compare to the Crusher Evo‘s in terms of bass, but I don’t need such extreme bass. I want a pair with pretty good bass, but not such extreme.
Can any of you help me figure this out? Or recommend me another pair?
