We keep finding ourselves drawn back to Oahu. We’ve been three times already and are now planning our fourth trip. Part of me wants to explore more of the islands, but we love Oahu so much that it’s hard to choose somewhere new. With three young kids, Oahu checks all the boxes for our family.

Kauai has always been a dream destination for me, but I worry it may not be the best fit for little kids. My kids love spending all day in the ocean, and I’ve heard the waves there can be rougher and less kid-friendly. Having direct beach access from our hotel is also a must for us. We’re planning to travel in August, so I need to decide soon
