I am planning to go on a trip to London and York at the end of August by train. The plan is to take the Eurostar to London and continue on to York and stay there for a few days and then head back down to London for 5ish days.

I have never been to York, but have been to London last year. How long should I stay in York for? Any tips with the trains? Fun things to do in London?
