Person recognition cheaply?
I meet a lot of people, and I am really bad at remembering names. Is there a free or low cost AI that I could pair with a WebCam or security cam or phone cam and use it to remind me of people‘s names?

28 years ago, I started my teaching career by teaching high school courses to adult students at a college, and then I spent the last 20 years teaching ESL. Now, this fall, I have to go back to teaching high school English to adults at a college. I'm wondering - what has changed? Do you still get the students to read aloud? Do you watch whole movies sometimes? Do you teach grammar? Do students do their writing in class on laptops? Do you have everything online so students can miss class but keep up with the lessons? Are they still writing essays, or is the focus more on paragraphs? Thank you!

I have a late 2015 MacBook Air with an 11 inch screen. I love how portable it is, and it still works great, but it doesn't get system updates, and first Microsoft Office and now Google Chrome are complaining that my OS is too old. So what do you think, should I:
Ignore it. And eventually buy a new MacBook.
Use the work-around to update the OS to a little newer version to buy some time.
Install some flavour of Linux that can handle the Mac hardware and my need to use Office and Chrome.
Thanks!
