I feel like if we allow buying/selling/trading on this sub we have to force the sellers to post prices and pictures with username included

I know there’s been a new mod regime change and I’m excited for the growth of this sub. As a collector that loves a lot of sports the one thing that separates this sub from all the other sports cards subs is that the sellers do not list their prices, which for me becomes an issue. We already have an influx of people coming and opening packs for the first time asking for comps and stuff like that which i hope is addressed.

I love people getting into the hobby, and will always try to help people that are new, but comps are not the way to do that. Not listing prices for your cards essentially is the same thing as asking for comps, you’re just forcing the buyer to do the work. Just check out any post on r/baseballcards and you’ll see exactly what I’m referencing. Every post has a picture with the cards, username, and price if it is for sale or for trade, and what country they’re in (if they’re outside of USA). Simple and easy.

Someone posts a picture of a card they just pulled seconds ago trying to make their money back from their hobby box with no username, price , or references. As a buyer I’m not touching with a ten foot pole.

I will always come to Reddit first to buy. To avoid eBay fees and keep the money in the community and we should too. Hopefully we can have a healthy discussion about this, and keep this community thriving
