Hi everyone!
I've been looking for an apartment in SF and so far I've found several small landlords (i.e. single people or couples) that insist on receiving their rent only through check. They'll say that due to regulations they'll accept other payments as well, but they'd prefer ONLY checks. It's been so long since I've written a check for anything and it seems like a hassle to coordinate check payments with my roommates as well. I was wondering, is this really a common thing? Or did I just hit some kind of weird jackpot with the last three places I've applied to?
