I have a covert recording... it is not the smoking gun I thought it was

When I started this case last year, I was outraged and secretly pleased with the secret recording I took of a VERY badly handled disciplinary meeting.

I've listened to it many times, and read the transcription many times. It's bad.

But, it's not the smoking gun. My covert recording of an insensitive manager isn't what will win me this case.

It's taken a year to understand what this is all about... the law. And I see how I, and many other LIPs, with or without AI, just do not understand the law... in the beginning.

I understand it now, which has brought me to this realisation. My smoking gun isn't really smoking.

I write this to say to other LIPs to avoid the trap I was in, confusing bad conduct with a complete claim. It's not about the smoking gun or the SAR, focus on pleading the legal issues... which means learning the law!

My preliminary hearing is next month and I'm nervous as heck but less "outraged" and feeling more diciplined in going forward.
