PPL on tailwheel?

Hello,

I just did my discovery flight 2 days ago and needless to say I loved it. The instructor let me do 2 360 degree turns and then hold straight and level for 2 mins. It was on a Robin DR400.

Now I'm looking for an aeroclub to do a PPL (just for pleasure). I found one that only has taildraggers (Jodel D112, Jodel D113, and other Jodels). They are based at an Aerodrome with grass runways.

Is it ok if I do my PPL on taildraggers knowing that their hourly rate is HALF of other aeroclubs with tricycle gear airplanes like the DR400. Another point they advertise is that I will automatically get a taildragger endorsement.

Would it be so much harder that I will need double the hours and go back to the same cost? or is it not that bad?

Thank you for your help.

PPL and french language

Hello,

I have decided to finally abuse my bank account and start PPL, my first flight will be next week.

I live in Paris and found an Aeroclub 45 mins away that offers PPL training.

My only concern is, even though i speak and write french since a young age, it is not my native language. When I moved to france 2 years ago, I had difficulty understanding french people because they talk so fast! but I got used to that within 2 months.

Now when I watch youtube videos I can barely understand the french ATC, since bad voice quality over radio + speaking fast + french is my 4th language = difficulties. Maybe its not just me because the youtuber puts on subtitles everytime the ATC speaks but i donno...

Did anyone have to go through understanding a second language while training? what adivce do you have for me?

I am thinking not to buy a cheap headset and go all out and get something high end with active noise cancellation to help me with clarity. And to watch lots of videos with french ATC to get used to it like i got used to understanding my local bakery owner. Does anyone know any youtube channels that can help with this?

Any other ideas please let me know.

Thank you and I hope to join you in the sky soon.

IniBuilds A350 on xbox series S memory usage

Hi guys,

I have been using MSFS2024 on xbox series S for a year now and its mostly fine.

Recently i bought the IniBuilds A350 and it's awesome.

However when I load at a large airport (even with AI traffic off), it immediately shows the message of "high memory usage shutting down avionics". So i'm sticking to small airports for now and relying on luck to complete a flight.

Is anyone facing the same issue with the Ini A350. Is it just because i'm using the xbox series S, would upgrading to series X help? if u guys with ur powerful PCs are having the same problem then i wont bother upgrading my xbox...

Hello guys.

my phone was stollen in London and I live in Paris.

my lebanese sim was in it. since i don't live in lebanon but my parents do, what are my options to recover my lebanese number?

I need it mainly to log into whatsapp.

is there anyway to get an eSim from outside lebanon? if my father goes to a touch store would they give him a new sim? would the convert to eSim option in the touch app work?

thanks for the help.
