Help, woman believes she has gotten hacked, leaked and refuses to see protection man has put in, needs confirmation
Hi yall, so there's a particular situation going on and I have questions for my cybercrime aware people here. So I know of a couple that have been going through some issues because F (26) says that she has gotten her devices (HP laptop, Samsung galaxy, google pixel) hacked through fishing and data breaches and that her pictures and personal data have been leaked online. Even more, her socials (Instagram, X, Snapchat) have been hacked, and her bank account her Gmail and Keepnotes, where things would be written as private notes got leaked all over the internet for the world to read and see. She believes that she has been getting spied on and her personal data has been sold to people of high power. And that now she is getting clowned on the internet for it. She has been claiming to be going through that for a long time, 8 months now, she mentions.
Her boyfriend M(29) has been trying to show her that her data has been not leaked and has been protected by 2FA , VPN purchased and regular password changes, yet she says that due to technology rapidly evolving, AI being capable of anything, he is not a protector able to provide protection for a woman getting attacked online due to her getting harassed on X from her leaked notes. She believes that she has been targeted by big names and that people are using subliminals in their tweets to bully her off the internet. The boyfriend is left with confusion with no way to do more and she believes that he has not done enough to protect her from those attacks, yet there are no visible proofs of any leaks whatsoever. Google's dark web data notice has not appeared as well through her Gmail. HaveIbeenpwnd has shown that there are no breaches and yet she believes, even if security measures have been taken, people are still able to enter her Snapchat, Gmail and more. There are no login attempts from anywhere else. She would want the boyfriend to call the cyberpolice or find someone that can confirm to her she has not been hacked.
My question is, to my professionals here, is there anything that the man can do to add to the security of online threats more than he has? Has he done enough? Or if there is a trusted source that can confirm that she has not been a victim of hacking, phishing and social media attacks?
Thank you very much!
