Moving to Seward and Questions

Hey everyone. I've been to Alaska before for traveling purposes and Ive been looking at moving as of late. I dont have an explicit preference besides being around the greater Anchorage area and I've been looking at Seward for the last week or so. If anything but for the weather and views as well as the shipyard I can see off of a brief glance.

I know it rains pretty heavily but what's the snow like? I keep getting conflicting answers from google and google maps(timestamped photos). Does it typically blanket the ground at sea level? Are the ski seasons any good for those that do ski?
Whats the humidity like especially during the summer months? I currently live in the jungles of the north east and its horrific here aha.

Whats work like? I mentioned being interested in the shipyard and related maritime work but what happens during the winter months? Do they even hire or have work in the colder months?

Is there a local version of Zillow for apartment hunting? Im just asking because I saw very little options on there.

Thank you to all that do answer I dont typically post on here just lurk. Sorry if theres too many questions or anything I just wanted to get everything out. I'm unfortunately not in a position where I can take a seasonal job and return to where I currently live so any move will have to be a more permanent one.
