Content sync b/w ipad nd Android phone

Hi! I recently discovered StarNote after trying multiple note-taking apps, and honestly it’s one of the few apps that seems to fit my workflow well.

I’m a med student using both an iPad and Android phone. My main priority is reliable cross-platform sync and stable handling of very large PDFs (medical textbooks, often 1000+ pages).

A lot of apps either struggle with large PDFs or don’t have the workflow features I need, but StarNote seems surprisingly smooth so far, which is why I’m seriously considering upgrading.( Edit: upgraded to pro)

Before purchasing, I wanted to clarify a few things about the upcoming sync feature:

  1. Will sync require a separate subscription in the future?

- Will current purchases/lifetime purchases be affected?

- Will I need to purchase separately on iOS and Android?

  1. Will sync be proper real-time in-app sync between iPad and Android?

    For example:

- annotations update automatically

- PDFs stay linked instead of creating duplicate copies

- no manual export/import needed each time

  1. If sync becomes subscription-based later, what happens if someone pauses the subscription for a few months?

- Will notes remain accessible locally?

- Will existing notes/bookmarks/annotations remain safe?

Also, will sync preserve:

- bookmarks

- highlights

- handwritten annotations

- folder structure

Really appreciate how responsive you are to users. After switching between multiple apps over the years, it gets exhausting trying to find something reliable for long-term study use

Edit : Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I know the sync feature isn’t publicly available yet. I was asking because I saw a developer comment mentioning that beta/testing versions are already in progress, so I just wanted to understand what users might realistically expect from the future sync system before investing long term into the app.
