What sem is best for regular transfers?

I've been seeing that most spots for summer and fall semester are taken by pathway students, is spring really the best chance for regular transfers trying to get into Georgia tech?

GSU to Georgia Tech Regular Transfer

Hey everyone, I'm going into my sophomore year at Georgia State University (Robinson College of Business) planning to apply as a regular transfer to Scheller for Spring 2027 and wanted some honest feedback on my chances.

My stats: Cumulative GPA is 3.72 on GSU's scale, roughly 3.74 on GT's collapsed scale. Math/lab science GPA is around 3.81 on GT's scale. I'll have about 46 credits completed by the time I apply and made Dean's List both Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. I have completed all of the major transfer requirements for GT Business Administration.

My semester breakdown was 3.50 dual enrollment, 3.59 fall, 3.91 spring, and projected 4.0 this summer — so strong upward trajectory. (My overall cumulative GPA by the time of spring application is predicted to be a 3.75-3.77).

For extracurriculars and experience, I've had two finance/real estate related internships. I also did a IT internship and did shadowing during high school. (I think i can include those)

Some context: I applied for Fall and Summer 2026 and got rejected, but at that point GT only saw my 3.57 cumulative with no spring grades. For Spring 2027 they'll see the full picture including my 3.91 semester, so i'm hoping it'll be a stronger holistic application.

What do you guys honestly think my chances are? Has anyone gotten into Scheller specifically as a regular transfer? And any advice on the essay or what GT is really looking for would be super appreciated 🙏
