Recommendations for AWB-compliant AR-15?
I'm in Rhode Island, and the ban on "assault weapon" sales will start in July. There is a grandfather clause in effect now, but they're floating the idea of getting rid of that.
I'm looking to be proactive and protect as much of my AR-15 investment as possible. Unfortunately, asking about this stuff on other gun subs rarely goes well.
I'm considering the following products, but I'm open to any recommendations:
Fixed mag solutions:
CompMag-- Seems like the best option, if they hold up in RI courts.
DS-15 lower-- I know Dark Storm is very unpopular, for good reason, but as a left-wing gun owner, I know how to hold my nose when I buy gun stuff.
AR MagLock-- From what I've read, seems like a cute idea for a range toy, but not something to trust in the real world.
Bolt action options:
Kali Key-- This one seems too easy. Could this really hold up in court?
Bear Creek uppers-- BCA has a horrible reputation, and these uppers don't seem to be great. Anyone have anything good to say about them?
Is there anything else that I should be looking at? Thanks in advance!
Obligatory FU to my state legislature for making us deal with shady vendors and spend money on weird untested products.
