About the grifters made up marketing budgets

If their made up high marketing budgets were real, that wouldn't prove audiences are disinterested in "woke" movies. All it would prove is that hollywood spends way too much money on their movies that would make it incredibly hard for them to make a profit. Like, if you spent 900 million dollars on a movie and its marketing, it would flop not because "go woke, go broke" but because that would be an insanely high budget for a movie that would be very difficult to recoup in box office.

Something I feel like no one has ever talked about

in the original Halloween, when Daniel leaves the Myers house at the beginning, when Judith asked if he would call her, the way he said "yeah, sure" seemed as if he didn't really mean it and was uninterested in maintaining a relationship with her. it always made me think he didn't actually care about judith much and was only interested in the sex. To quote my dad about that moment from one of the times we watched it, "He got what he wanted and was done". though to be fair, it also could have just been bad acting since the film had such a low budget. Or Daniel simply lost interest in Judith due to having the shortest sex imaginable with her.

Today, on instagram, I have been seeing nothing but people talking about how "wonderful" charlie kirk was

I hate it. I know it's because it's the anniversary of his murder, but I still hate how people think he was this brilliant amazing guy. The right loves to mock anyone on the left who gets hurt or dies, but the moment it happens to someone on their side, "HOW DARE YOU NOT GLAZE THIS MAN! YOU ARE SCUM!". The funny thing is, I had never even heard of charlie kirk until the south park episode last year. I only learned about him a few weeks before he died.

So only two weeks after peter cullens death, ICE posted these.

It's already bad enough that the trump administration constantly co opts elements of pop culture to use as propaganda for them, but to do so with a man who just died is so disrespectful, to peter cullen, and the character of optimus prime.

Here's a funny story

When I first saw BVS, I was in denial that it was terrible. I convinced myself it was "really good". As the months went on, I realized how bad the film actually was. But the funny part was when I first saw the film, I loved jessie eisenbergs performance as lex luthor. I thought he was one of the best luthor performances of all time. Up there with gene hackman and clancy brown. In hindsight, I have no idea what I was thinking with that. I would love to go back in time to remember why I thought his performance was brilliant at the time, because it wasn't.
