Why does lowest graphics setting of Battlefield 6 look better than Black Ops 7 at the highest setting?

In my eyes anyway

I’ve also noticed that turning up the settings doesn’t do much to improve visual quality so maybe there’s some irrelevant features that are enabled at higher settings

One thing, B07 supports last gen but BF6 only current gen. Could this be the reason. But also what kind of tech differences could be going on here

Since the graphics libraries are maintained by manufacturers of gpus, eg Nvidia, AMD, PlayStation having their own APIs, what does a person looking to learn how to make a game engine need to look out for?

2.Is it better to learn DirectX over Vulkan. Don’t mind the complexity, but the practicality.
