On a back country lane earlier, a young hare was in a panic trying to escape my van going one way and a car coming on the other. It ran back and forth for ages and eventually disappeared into a hedge. I said to the other driver “Wasn’t that a beautiful sight” and she replied “Yes but he wasn’t a member of The Tufty Club was he?” I haven’t thought of that in decades!
