I hired someone better than me at building businesses to come in and help as we’re entering more markets and they registered us as a trademark.
I’m good at making the products but had no idea I even needed a trademark.
It turns out there is a design mark for this name under same category of goods sold.
Their first use is around same time as us (12ish years ago) but the person I hired checked way back machine (?) and our website was up two full years before.
I’ve never heard of them, they don’t show up in google search until page 5 when I search my name and I’ve never heard from them! We have meetings this week with attorneys but I am freaking out here and have been a nervous wreck! I feel like I’m going to lose everything and it’s mentally been very bad for me. I have spent most of my adult life working for this.
Please help me. My family depends on this income and this is the first time in my life I’ve had panic attacks.
