Laid off and not sure what to do next
I was working in a small office job and it was a nice job where salary was sometimes a bit delayed but overall it was manageable. Recently I was told I am being laid off due to financial issues in the company, including problems with their bank and one of their partners being under investigation. The pending salary is from this year. At the time I understood the situation and even told them they could clear my pending salary in parts if needed so it wouldn’t be a burden. It has now been about a month since that meeting and I tried following up again about the pending payment, but I am being completely ignored and my messages are not even being opened. I tried to stay patient and respectful, but honestly I don’t know what to do now or what the right next step is. Any advice would be appreciated.
