Picked up a set of 4 Knoll Associates chairs with woven webbing seats/backs. Frames are solid, but the webbing is shot on a couple of them (see pics).

I’m trying to figure out the best route:

Is it worth trying to repair/reweave sections, or should I just fully replace all the webbing?

What material should I use? Looks like original is some kind of heavy woven upholstery webbing (not Danish cord). I love this color, I’m sure it would be hard to match.

Anyone here done these before? How difficult is it to get the tension right and keep it from sagging?

Would you strip everything and start fresh, or try to preserve what’s still intact?

Any recommended suppliers for matching or high-quality webbing?

I don’t want to half-fix it and have it look bad or fail later. Trying to do it once and do it right. Appreciate any advice or examples if you’ve tackled something similar.
