My wife and I were planning on driving from Salem to Worcester and taking the train in to Lansdowne since driving to Worcester is a lot easier than driving into Boston.

But would it be easier to go to Framingham instead? Is the driving to there and in the city relatively calm?

Also should I buy my ticket ahead of time or would it be easier to get it day of/will it be good for me coming back after the game too?

Edit: Forgot to mention, it's a night game.

Edit 2: We won't be goint back to Salem, that's why I'm asking about Worcester and Framingham.
