Of the 10 senior intercounty football titles on offer this year, each was won by a different team!

All Ireland, Tailteann cup, Divisions 1-4 and 4 provincials...no repeat winners. Can't be something that happens very often! Credit to @getoffthehill on Twitter, seen his post it and wanted to share.

Booked me and my girlfriends first trip to Disneyland Paris for February! Some questions

Just booked 2 nights/3 days at the hotel Cheyenne and then we're going to stay in Paris for a couple of days after. I got it for her as a birthday surprise so she won't know about it for another month or so. I've loved reading all the information on this sub about peoples trips, you've been so helpful!

Some questions though:

  1. Is early February a good time to go? It was the most affordable for us and I would image it's a little quieter that time of year which would suit better. Hoping there aren't many attractions closed and the weather is fine!

  2. How much spending money would you guys recommend for a trip of that size? I'm not a huge shopper but she enjoys it and id imagine it's a place worth spending a few extra euro.

  3. Any essentials to bring with us that make life easier or really elevate the trip? Any other tips and tricks are welcome and thank you for any help in advance!

r/countylouth

Hello, county Louth is one of Irelands 32 counties. It's the place I am from and there hasn't been a post on this subreddit in 7 months. The last post was a mod (account now deleted) asking for new mods to take it over. 14 days ago I messaged the mods asking if they were still searching as I would be happy to take over but there has been no response. The community is restricted and I would love to be made a moderator and get it back active again.

What's the best cinema in Ireland?

The Odyssey is out this weekend and Christopher Nolan made it for IMAX 70mm screens. We don't have any IMAX 70mm in Ireland, I know we have a couple of digital/laser IMAX screens but still the point stands.

What would be the best cinema in the country all things considered? If you had to count screen quality, sound quality, comfort and every other thing that could make a good cinema great, which would be the overall winner?

Sunday sell out?

Sundays game now fully sold out bar the Nally stand on Ticketmaster. I know they normally hold some back and also more get released if season ticket holders don't purchase but another batch of tickets were released last night/this morning and still all gone.

I got on Ticketmaster at 11:52 the day they went on sale and there were already 4k people ahead of me in the queue. Anybody reckon there's a chance it actually fully sells out? And if so, when was the last time a quarter final sold out Croke Park? Can't have been anytime too recent. I think the new rules and new format for championship have both been huge successes!

Louth vs Armagh on The Sunday Game

Sat down yesterday evening very excited to watch the Sunday game as a Louth fan but Jesus Christ they made it difficult, listening to Tomas Ó Sé spout nonsense and be miserable about everything was painful. Even when he was corrected later in the show about the clock he comes back basically saying "well I didn't see it and players were asking the time".

Then a big focus on Maguires wide that counted as a score (I was there, was definitely wide) but no mention at all of Grimes clear 2 pointer that counted as 1 which is only a minute or two apart from that and basically evens it out!

Overall was a very difficult watch from people who it was clear had none of their homework done, claiming there was hawkeye in Pair Ui Caoimh too which there isn't. I'd imagine they're very upset that the likes of a big dog like Kerry may have to face Armagh or Donegal now in the next round but you think they'd be able to give Louth their flowers somewhat instead of trying to stir a controversy that doesn't exist.

(Picture included shows the clock in the left corner, would have been right in front of Forker for his blocked shot)
