Native speaker Messing up Word gender
Im a native english speaker with an Italian grandfather so a couple years i decided to learn Italian. I have a very high level of comprehension and speaking but I still often get caught up thinking of what gender a word might be, and I often ask my grandfather and look up online if native speakers of Romance languages also mess up sometimes, I’m constantly told no by both the internet and my grandfather, but I hear them do it often on tv and in real-life, often when matching the adjective they will mess up or they will mess up the definitive article before the word occasionally
My question is do you guys who speak Romance languages notice this and why are you all so sure you don’t do it
