how do you meal prep around whatever protein is cheapest to save money on food?
I’m trying to switch from picking meals first and then buying ingredients to choosing the cheapest protein and building meals around it. It makes sense on paper, but in practice I keep getting stuck when something like pork loin or bone-in chicken thighs is on sale and I have no idea what to make with it.
How do other people handle this kind of flexible meal prep, where the protein drives the plan instead of the other way around? And does it actually save much money on groceries over time?
