do i have to be naturally talented at physics in order to be a top student in a physics degree
im in grade 11 now and i love physics. i'm pretty good at studying and i'd say i'm naturally smart in most subjects, and math is one of my best subjects, but i've had a hard time with physics. ive been able to get my grade up in grade 11 physics from nearly failing to getting 95-100s on my recent assessments, so i think i've gotten used to studying for the subject by now. but i've noticed that physics tests require you to be focused during the test and think on the spot, which i am extremely bad at because i get stressed if i don't know something right away. i see my classmates who are naturally gifted in physics and i understand that they have very different talents than me. i feel that they are the ones who would excel in a physics degree. despite all of this, i truly love physics and astronomy and want to pursue it, but i want to be a good physicist. if i continue to be disciplined and study as much as i can, can i be successful in physics?
also, does anyone have any advice for thinking on the spot during physics tests? memorizing is my strong suit but simply memorizing formulas/questions has completely backfired on me in my class
