Making connections

I’ve been on the big project for about a month. I’m very happy with the work and I think I’ve been doing well: about 95%+ utilization rate, very few rewrite requests (and those only for minor issues), have never exceeded the allotted time etc. However I haven’t been offered any other projects although I keep applying and signaling availability. Any suggestions on how to stand out from the crowd and make connections?

Working for Mercor

Mercor is an artificial intelligence (AI) startup that hires freelancers to train AI models and chatbots. They hire people both for "generalist" roles and as domain experts.

I registered with them a few months ago, applied for different roles and was rejected. Then about three weeks ago I got an "instant offer" for $80 an hour working on a huge project. I went through their paid onboarding process and began working a day or two later. I have earned about $3000 in about three weeks and have already been paid twice. I could be earning more with them but this is indeed a side hustle for me, not my main source of income, so I don't have more time to devote to it. It takes almost two weeks until you receive your first pay and after that it's once a week.

The wonderful thing about this work for me is that it is extremely flexible: I work from home whenever I have time, in 45-minute to one-hour chunks. It is however sometimes very challenging to get tasks: There can be quite a lot of competition for them!

In my experience, you will need to have VERY strong writing skills to get a role here. If you use my referral link we both benefit from it. https://t.mercor.com/Po7q4

Good luck! Feel free to ask me about my experience, either in the comments or per DM.
