I've been a diehard Chwalinska fan for a decade. I was converted the minute I saw this tiny kid on the Juniors tour zipping all over the court, making every shot in the book and driving her opponents crazy. Her singular brand of tennis was so inspiring that I spent weeks making this video in 2018 - I wanted tennis fans to know about her talent.
Over the years I've watched Maja deal with tough losses, multiple injuries, surgeries and burnout. To see her put all of the elements of her game together at this year's Roland Garros is a surreal experience. Maja has rocketed herself into the top tier of the sport and I'm overjoyed.
This video never gained any traction, and Maja has shown her talent to the world over the past two weeks. Nevertheless, I think new fans will enjoy a look back at her journey.
