moving without a job

I graduated from Vassar last year and spent a year in my hometown in Maine. My partner is from Brooklyn and most of my friends moved to New York post grad, but I don’t come from the same tax bracket, if you know what I mean. I’m moving in with my partner to their family’s home in Park Slope this weekend, due to my own fragile family situation. I have about 11k in savings & a lot of work experience. How realistic is it to find a job and a place to move into, obviously with roommates? I am not picky!

I graduated from a somewhat prestigious college in New York last May, but due to a shortage of funds was not able to start my life there post-grad. I have a year of full time work under my belt in the non-profit sphere in my home state (as well as many administrative & arts focused internships) and am moving into my boyfriend’s place in Brooklyn next week. I have savings, a place to live, and many friends in the area. Is this a dumb decision to make without a job lined up?
