Hi all!

**Before I start, I want to share that I’m very sensitive to negative or hopeless comments. Please be mindful :) **

Long story, but I really need some hope.

I started Prozac for OCD and panic attacks on February 17. I started at 10 mg for 4 weeks. The first 2 weeks were incredibly rough (horrible panic, trouble sleeping, brain fog), but by week 4, I was feeling pretty good, with no panic attacks for about 10 days straight. (I was having them every day before).

I increased to 20 mg on March 17, bc this is the typical therapeutic dose and I wasn’t exactly back to myself. I have been on 20 mg since then (exactly 7 weeks today). Again, the first 2 weeks after the dose increase were horrific. But then weeks 3-6ish after the dose increase were literally the best I’ve felt in YEARS. I was completely myself, outgoing more than usual, felt present in the moment, OCD volume was very low, and I wasn’t even worried about any possibility of backsliding. It was bliss!

Then I hit the tail end of week 6 into week 7 of the dose increase, and out of no where started having bad physical anxiety and panic attacks again (not quite as severe as before, but frequent again). OCD volume was cranked back up (mostly surrounding worries about whether or not the medicine was working). The brain fog came back as well (although, I do think this has a lot to do with my OCD bc I hyperfocus on it).

For context as well, I am about to move for the first time in a very long time, so I’m sure that is contributing to the stress. We move in 4 days.

I can’t get a clear answer from my psych or anywhere online, so I was wondering if anyone else had an experience like this where they felt great for a while only to backslide? Please tell me it will stabilize out again soon??

I’m terrified to go up again or god forbid have to change medications or something. I’m so exhausted from this year and I just want some relief.

Hoping for some hope. Thanks!
