Help me choose for this freshman fall 🙏🙏 I took ib math AA HL and the math placement test put me as eligible to take 1410 (like middle range), but I really want to maximize my gpa for this freshman fall…

Basically I’m torn over which class to take cuz i hear that math 1410 is actually easier bc of the teachers but then that it also could be because of math geniuses and engineers that take the class (which I’m not)

First: I’m NOT premed :)

Basically, I’m trying to optimize my gpa and heard biol 1121 is pretty hard. I got a 5 on AP bio my sophomore year but I don’t really see the advantages of taking an advanced class other than not having to take another semester of biol…so my question is what are the possible advantages and motives for people taking biol 1121 over 1101?

Is it better for research opportunities or getting into clubs at Penn? Does it make a large enough difference to justify a gpa degrade? Especially since I’m planning on not going to med school it seems to me currently that there isn’t a huge pro but I also know I could be missing something at this stage

Also to get a grasp of my current sched: taking 1410 (another thing I heard was 1410 was actually easier than 1400 for some students which I thought was interesting? Not sure if that’s 100% true tho, Econ 100, and writing seminar) all my lang requirements r fulfilled

Pls help…any info on these teachers lecture style exam difficulty class work and demeanor would be incredibly helpful 🙏🙏🙏 whose class do u recommend I take? Preferably want to keep my gpa intact
