Hi, my mother has visited me and this is her first visit to the UK this year.
Her 6-month UK visitor visa was granted on 24th April 2026 till 24th Oct 2026.
She has travelled to the UK on the 25th April and I booked the return flight on 23rd October, 2026. The immigration officer asked her about the plans but didn't say anything for the return date.
I realised later that even though the return is booked before the visa expiry date, it is roughly 181 days and 182 if we count the end date in the calculation.
>So, should I change the return flight so that it is within the 180-day period? As the gov site says - Visit visas allow stays of no longer than 6 months (or 180 days) per visit.
I thought to ask here before I change and pay the reschedule cost to the airways for my mistake!
Thanks.
