Crashed on a deserted island books
I am trying to find a book that I read years ago on my mom‘s Kindle. It is a book about these four people, a man, a woman, a grandmother and her granddaughter. They’re on a boat and the captain sends the boat down, hoping to get an insurance check. But the four of them survive And make their way to this abandoned island. They are trying to survive, the book follows along with their pursuits. At one point, somebody get stung by a jellyfish, they end up finding this housing type building. I think it was an old Japanese military base, it was I think carved out of stone. They live there for a while. At one point, the man goes out while he’s hunting I believe, and gets attacked by a large jungle cat, which claws his back quite deep. They eventually get him back to the housing area that they are living in, but the wounds are so deep that even though they sew up his back, it gets infected with bugs and they lay eggs and there’s a part about the eggs hatching under his skin and coming out. Eventually, they get rescued towards the end. I think the man and woman end up becoming a couple and treating the granddaughter like their daughter and the grandmother like their mother.
