Just finished installing the TechMatte amFilm OneTouch on my S25 Ultra and wanted to share some quick thoughts for anyone on the fence.

The Install (10/10)

This is where TechMatte really wins. It uses that plastic "OneTouch" alignment tray. You just clean the screen, snap the tray on, and slide. I managed to get it on with zero bubbles and—more importantly—it’s perfectly centered. If you have "screen protector anxiety," this is the one to get.

Fingerprint Sensor (9/10)

The S25 Ultra’s ultrasonic sensor is notoriously picky with glass.

  • Pro Tip: I did have to re-register my fingerprints after putting the glass on.
  • Once re-registered, it’s snappy. I’d say it’s about 95% as fast as the bare screen. I turned on "Touch Sensitivity" in the settings just to be safe, and it’s been flawless.

Clarity & Feel

It’s 9H tempered glass, so it feels exactly like the native screen—smooth and cold to the touch. The oleophobic coating seems decent so far; fingerprints wipe off easily with a quick swipe on my shirt.

The One Catch: Reflections

The S25 Ultra has that amazing anti-reflective coating on the bare glass. Like any glass protector, this will bring back some of the glare. It’s a trade-off: you lose the anti-reflective properties, but you gain peace of mind against scratches and cracks.

The Value

It usually comes in a 2-pack for around $10-$12, and they even throw in camera lens protectors (though I usually leave those off to avoid bulk).

Final Verdict: If you want easy installation and don't want to spend $40 on a Whitestone Dome kit, this is a no-brainer.

Quick tip for the sub: Make sure you're in a "steam" environment (like a bathroom after a shower) to keep the dust down before you drop the tray!
