what should I do
What I’m about to say, I’m very disappointed in myself for, and honestly I’m sending this here before I go speak to my manager and own up to my big mistake.
I’m currently a new tech at one of the construction data centers, and I had another coworker who also recently got hired on, although in a different department. I’ve known this person personally for about 10 years now.
I completely forgot that I was actually in a yellow zone and not a green zone, so I thought it would be funny to take a picture of his roughed-up badge photo and send it to him personally while in a confrence room, I diint notcie camreas but I was on the aws network when i used my phone so im assuming the worst now. The badge didn’t show any ID information or anything sensitive — just his name and a picture he’s used publicly as a profile photo before.
I fully own up to the mistake. I know I was an idiot for doing it, and there’s really no excuse for it. I just want to know what my verdict on if Im fired or not and what I should do moving forward. Please I need answers thank you I love this job and if this is what gets me fired I dont know what Ill do. (picture has been deleted and told person to unsend from text as I did the same) and it was a room full of people. I know aws has diffrent polices so Im worried to the max
