She's done!!!

She's done!!!

I finished this tank on my flight to Italy just in time for vacation. I used tencel yarn which I had never worked with but it gives an incredible drape and feel for the tank top.

My only trouble is the yarn I used is from two different dye lots and I didn't notice until it was finished so 3 of the decreases and shoulders are a different shade of green. I'll have to figure out how to overdue tencel so it can all be the same shade of green.

3rd Streamline Tank

Been on the loom for way too long and trying to get this done before I leave for vacation on Saturday.

I do really love the Streamline Tank pattern but I'm not doing this in the round again on the loom.

A very delayed project 6

This is long overdue but I finally completed project 6 (way past my 30 day deadline that was self imposed).

This was a fun and an ambitious project with a lot of increases and decreases so I only recommend using the flexee loom for this project. I also recommend reading the pattern all the way through before starting (which I did not). If I make another dino I'm going to start and cast on 58 rows as described in row 3, I don't recommend trying to increase 6 stitches all at once with loom knitting. It becomes too holey and doesn't look as clean as needle knitting. I tried my best to clean it up while I was stuffing and seaming everything together but in the end I'll just start at row 3 first.

Sewing on the arms and legs and getting correct placement was harder than I thought as well. I didn't have any felt for the cheek so I eyeballed the arm placement and they ended up too close together, the yarn I was using started fraying so I couldn't fix it either. But in the end I still think it's pretty cute.
