Asking for someone from MSc Physics at Panjab University. They missed one exam and currently have backlogs + low SGPA, but will be appearing for the golden chance exams in June 2026.

The issue is that research internship applications may happen before the portal/CGPA gets updated. Wanted to ask seniors:

* By which month does PU usually update backlog status/SGPA after golden chance results?

* Is there any workaround for internship applications while the portal still shows low CGPA/backlogs?

* Can professors/institutes accept provisional proof or explanation from department/HOD?

* Has anyone managed research internships despite delayed PU updates?

Would really appreciate genuine advice/experiences.
