SCM in Japan or Taiwan?

I am a student still in university. I want to get into SCM and my initial plan was going to Taiwan. However after recent news (Trump denying Taiwan's independance), I'm afraid that Taiwan is not gonna be safe. I'm thinking about choosing Japan for plan B but I cannot find any information about this field in Japan.

I want to know more about the SCM job market in Japan and the work/life culture. And whether Taiwan is safe anymore? How do you guys think it is going to be in around 10 year?

I really need advices about the matter, thank you in advance!!!

I'm an anxious 19 years old female and a university student in France. I want to get into supply chain, demand planner or analytics positions to be specific (preferably semiconductor-related). I have related certifications and internships.

My questions are:

- Is it possible? Is the field really competitive that the chances of making it far are slim?

- Is supply chain still gonna be a good career in 10-20 years?

- Is it a wise choice to pursue my Master and work in Taiwan in a few years?

- What are the facts/dark sides of the job/field?

- How should I prepare for my goals?

- My health is not the best, I can't walk or do physical tasks TOO much. But I heard that normally people start by working at warehouses. Is it true and is it gonna be too much for me T^T?

Thank you guys so much in advance, I'm really looking forward to getting advices!!!
