I’ve been using my Lanshan 2 but feeling limited by the weather. Tent recommendations plus some advice.
I feel like I can quite confidently use my Lanshan 2 between mid April and mid September. However I’ve found that it’s limiting me as I am fearful of using it in windier weather.
Generally I check all the mountain weather websites and if there are gusts of above 30mph i will opt out of it and end up car camping.
I’d like to invest in a 4 season tent, even if it means saving for a while. I can’t wrap my head around the difference between a hilleberg and a MSR hubba hubba or a Nortent vern.
I’d like to feel safe if camping in an exposed place but I doubt I’ll be going out in December/january so I’m less bothered about it being specifically suitable for absolute winter weather… therefore do I actually just need a better 3 season tent?
I also need a winter sleeping bag and am looking at the Nemo disco 15 for this but would welcome recommendations. I have the Nemo eclipse sleeping pad and I use a foam mat beneath it
