Buying a House in Dublin

Dear All,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are an Indian couple currently looking to buy a house in Dublin, Ireland. As first-time buyers, one of our key considerations is finding a safe and welcoming community for our family.

Given the recent reports of racist incidents and attacks targeting members of the Indian and broader Asian communities, I am feeling somewhat uncertain about which areas would be the safest and most suitable for us, particularly outside Dublin city centre.

I would greatly appreciate your insights and experiences regarding areas that are considered family-friendly, diverse, and generally safe, as well as any locations you would recommend avoiding when purchasing a home.

At the moment, we are considering properties in:

  • Rathcoole
  • St. Sampson's Square, Dublin 13
  • Balgriffin, Dublin 13

If anyone has firsthand experience of these areas or suggestions for other neighbourhoods, I would be very grateful for your advice.

Thank you in advance for your help and guidance.
