Pretty new to grilling and hosting here. My apartment building has a rooftop grill, and I'm having a few friends over (about 5 people) this weekend for smash burgers.

My main challenge is that the grill is on the rooftop but my kitchen is in a separate building nearby, so I'd love to have most of the food prepped and ready before everyone arrives. That way I can actually hang out with my friends instead of running back and forth.

I have two questions:

1. What do you typically serve at a burger cookout, besides the burgers themselves?

2. What desserts do you like to round off a cookout?
