Biopsy for 89 year old?
As a member of the club myself I would like to thank you all for the support over the years. My 89 year old uncle had an MRI that revealed a 1.6 cm lesion on his prostate. The doctor recommends a biopsy.
Is this standard procedure for an 89 year old? My uncle was told he would be in deep sedation for the biopsy. When I had my biopsy I only had general anesthesia and was wide awake.
Thank you for anything you can share about this
