Just bought my first tractor and then this happened
I bought a Ford 3000 diesel tractor and just got it home and unloaded. My sister-in-law wanted to drive it, so she went around on the driveway. She did well, so she asked to drive it up to the carport to store it. Well, she hit the accelerator and plowed over my Rippa R10 and mangled the carport. Everyone is fine, and the Rippa jumped right back to life. The 3000 now only starts with ether being sprayed through the air intake. It drained all the diesel through a little pigtailed line on the right front of the tractor. I have never had a diesel before, but I think there is air in the lines. Suggestions on how to bleed it and what else I should look for to get it back running? Would the oil, hydraulic fluid, or coolant be at risk of being mixed due to the high angle of the tractor? Any help is appreciated. And how do I replace the exhaust that has a tear in the pipe?
Amended: I should have been clearer. I used a tow strap and my 4WD Ram to pull the tractor backwards. The tractor rolled backwards and while doing that it turned the Rippa upright. The tractor is on level ground under the carport, and I added 2 gallons of diesel to it once it had set for 20 minutes. A battery cable had come loose, so it took some time to figure that out. The tractor will crank when ether is sprayed in the front air intake on the hood, but it is not getting diesel to the engine. I will swap out the two fuel filters and bleed the fuel lines.
