Client Referrals - Appreciation?

Hey all! How is everyone showing their appreciation for when a current client refers someone new to you? We don’t have a great system in place and we’re looking for ideas to show our appreciation. Letters, phone calls, gifting, etc. Thank you!

Tacos, Tamales and more: 10,000 steps in Rogers Park

Did a little crawl in Rogers Park this weekend with friends.

One thing to note - we were not super efficient in our planning so we kind of wandered up and down Clark St on accident.

Started at (1) Tamales Lo Mejor De Guerrero, pics 1-3. The group ordered a mix of things. I got to try the puerco en salsa verde and the Oaxaqueño de mole rojo. I also ordered a cafe de ollo. Pretty solid overall, some folks in the group felt the tamales were a little dry.

Our second stop was at (2) Taqueria Ciudad Hidalgo, pics 4-5. I got to try the al pastor and thought it was lovely.

We were feeling under caffeinated so we popped into Kafe con Amor which was such a cute little shop!

Our third stop was going to be the 'Rogers Park Tamale Man' but he had already left for the day.

It was starting to get pretty warm and we saw the (3) Fantastik Fruit Cart, pic 6, down the block, so we made a beeline for that. Took a little bit to get our fruit but it was so worth it. Absolutely refreshing and a great mid crawl stop.

We wandered north again for our next stop (4) La Casa Vieja, pics 7-8. The lady working was so nice and patient with us! She explained all their different fillings and how they're made. I ended up with carne asada. We loved the tortillas there. Probably our favorite of the day.

Next up (5) Rocky's! (Pics 9 and 10). We took our time here. I had the carnitas and a sparkling water. They had plenty of seating and bathrooms so it was a nice chill stop for us.

We then headed east to grab a drink at (6) Rogers Park Social, pic 11. Got a round of their frozen special. Really refreshing and tasty!

Our last stop was at (7) Portales, pics 12-13. I ordered their barboacoa and really liked it.

Overall a great northside taco crawl. Second one I've participated in. I think the next will be in Pilsen. Would love any recommendations for where to go and what to try. (really want drink recommendations for the area, please and thank you)
