Deciding when a part-time hire should go full-time
I run a two-person shop and I've had someone at about 20 hours a week since last fall. She's good and there's clearly more work than she can cover, but the months are uneven enough that I don't know if I can promise 40 through a slow stretch. I keep pushing the decision to next quarter and it keeps being the same decision.
For the people who made that jump, what did you look at before you were willing to commit to the full salary?
