I spent the whole afternoon walking just to complete this challenge but this is what I got- negative steps😂 I thought for other similar challenges you do not need to convert exact step to complete- is this one different?

This is a daily task that I need to complete- however I cannot find the place in the app that o can message a friend- could someone tell me how to do it?
