Family judgement after weightloss
I have just come off the back of a weight cut from 99.5kg to 77kg over about 6-7 months. Nothing drastic in terms of actions, just no alcohol, walking daily, and macro tracking to stay on target. I would say I’m sitting around 14-15% body fat so I’m noticeably lean but nothing wild.
I’m transitioning to maintenance now as I am enjoying training and want to improve my strength and overall fitness.
Over the last month I’ve had a number of family members pull me aside to tell me they are worried and to tell me I should be putting on weight to be ‘healthy’ (which is wild to me).
Just interested to hear any thoughts or tips on how to handle these situations. It’s incredibly frustrating to be told this by people who don’t take care of their own health and who have no understanding of the process or the dedication it takes to achieve what I have.
