Hi,

I have a number of lilly pillies that are currently around 1–1.2 m tall. I planted them about two months ago.

I also have a lawn around them, and my question is: what is the best way to manage the grass before it starts slowing down the growth of the lilly pillies and competing for nutrients and water?

When planting, I dug out the area and added garden mix from Bunnings, and I also applied Osmocote.

(And yes, I really want them to grow fast and give me privacy.)

Any tips would be appreciated.
