Beginner trying to get my routine right!

Before anyone suggests it haha- I absolutely plan to get a real teacher, but I unfortunately won’t be able to do that until fall; I don’t want to wait, so I’m going to teach myself basics as much as possible the next few months.

I’m trying to make sure I’m starting out with a good routine- I’ve been playing every single morning for at least 30 minutes (it’s been two weeks and I’m working up to 45-60 minutes a day). So far, I’m just learning how to play all major scales, then I’ll move onto minors, then chords, then start trying more advance songs (so far I’ve learned Happy Birthday and Mary Had a Little Lamb lol)? I’m watching videos by a few different teachers I like on YouTube and also reading articles, in addition to books for beginner music reading. I do eventually want to be able to compose my own songs (pop compositions, just for fun). So far, it all feels pretty intuitive and I’m picking things up quickly. Basically, I’m just going slowly and repeating things over and over and over and over until it feels easy.

Any and all tips are appreciated! 🙂
