Arby’s Manager Allegedly Spit in Customer’s Sandwich, Infecting Her With Herpes: Felony Charges & Lawsuit Filed

A former Arby’s manager in Broken Bow, Oklahoma has been arrested and hit with a felony poisoning charge after allegedly spitting in a customer’s food.

The customer, Jennica Church, stopped at the drive-thru late one night (March 28) after her bartending shift. She later tested positive for HSV-1 (oral herpes). Surveillance footage reportedly shows manager Amanda Hendricks preparing the sandwich, lowering her head over it, and contaminating it with saliva. Another employee tipped off police, leading to the investigation and arrest.

Church and her family have now filed a civil lawsuit against Hendricks, Arby’s, and the franchise owners. Her mother-in-law described how it’s affecting the whole family, including the grandkids being scared to kiss their grandparents and normal affection basically stopping.

This one is rough.

Fast food horror stories are one thing, but this is next-level.

Would you still eat at that Arby’s location after something like this, or is it “burn it down” territory for you?

And have you ever had a fast food experience that made you swear off a chain forever?

Largest Roman bathhouse ever found in the Netherlands (Nijmegen)

Archaeologists uncovered a massive Roman bath complex (thermae) in the ancient city of Ulpia Noviomagus (modern Nijmegen) during a pre-construction dig.

It covers at least 4,900 m², more than twice the size of any previously known Roman bathhouse in the Netherlands.

It includes underfloor heating (hypocaust), hot/warm/cold rooms, and other structures.

Finds include a bronze bust of Bacchus, jewelry, and coins suggesting the area was still active into the 3rd century AD.

The site will influence the design of a new housing development (they’re even naming a square after it).
