Successfully recovered Gmail after 4 years locked out, 17 year old Gmail account
After losing my Google account in 2021, I gave up in frustration, then got a motivation to get it back in late 2025 so I glcan get all my photos back, after getting the owner of my previous phone number to aid me, I did recover my Google in Feb 2026, account got disabled due to suspicious activity 3 hours after recovery. It was so frustrating.
Eventually instead of asking Google for help (they'd never help) I spoke to my previous phone number carrier ( they could not help since the number was already in used) I tracked the number and found out it was from a real estate business, used AI and asked for the number back and mentioned it was an unclean number and had all my private data, if were to be accessed accidentally or purposely, could be a liability, and since they were local and understanding of my situation and my privacy and didn't want a liability if my data was accidentally accessed via social media or google. They discontinued the number and I spoke to my carrier to get it back with tons of ID verification and patience I finally got my old number back.
Now I just accessed my Gmail yesterday and was so happy to find 17 years of old photos,old accounts, basically my entire digital life is back, old photos of my dog. It was impossible but I found ways to get my Gmail back. One thing I'll do now, is I'll start using a different service because Google is so disgustingly bad at helping their customers, its taken me months to get this Google account back that I had for my entire teenage years. If anyone wants tips on recovery ask me, I used to track my old Gmail, reverse search my Gmail, numbers, fixed old phones to get information and try to access my Gmail.
