Half of the new alienstage fans are ivantill fans not alienstage fans

“It shouldn’t bother you”

Yes it’s bothering me

People can enjoy what they enjoy obviously.

It just gets tiring when an interesting complex story with multiple characters and themes gets overshadowed to the point where some fans only engage with one ship let alone the others and ignore everything else about Alien Stage

especially after cure got released

Edit: my point seems not to be getting across

Half of the newer Alien Stage fans genuinely feel more like ivantill fans first and Alien Stage fans second now especially after Cure released

And before people misunderstand me I’m literally an ivantill fan too I love their dynamic and I enjoy the content around them literally This isn’t me attacking the ship or saying people can’t enjoy it

It’s more that the online fandom space has become so dominated by Ivantill content that sometimes the actual series starts feeling sidelined.

A lot of newer fans seem to get introduced through edits fanons and ship content before even really engaging with the story themes lore or the rest of the cast.

ALNST has interesting worldbuilding, multiple character dynamics, themes and identity

survival alien society and so on.

but discussions about those things often get drowned out because almost everything circles back to Ivantill

I’m not saying those people are “fake” or that shipping is bad

I just wish discussions about the actual series stayed as visible alongside the ship content instead of Alien Stage slowly becoming “the ivantill show” in fandom spaces
